As a growing social enterprise, Genuine Foods emphasizes fresh, scratch-made food coupled with exceptional service and meaningful enrichment programs that transform lives and foster community building. The organization goes beyond just food service management to create positive impacts on customers, partners, and teams alike, making it a unique place to work with shared values centered around trustworthiness, accountability, people-first thinking, and transparency.
The role of Catering Manager/Events Manager at Genuine Foods is integral to the company’s catering operations and event success. This position involves overseeing the Catering Department, including training new staff, managing event logistics, and ensuring excellent service delivery. Additional duties include managing orders through the Catertrax system, updating daily kitchen event boards, controlling food and labor costs, and directing temporary personnel. This leadership role requires close collaboration with the Executive Chef to craft menus and maintain superior quality, safety, and presentation standards. Furthermore, the Catering Manager will foster strong client relationships by responding efficiently to any issues and communicating effectively with management, clients, vendors, and staff. Genuine Foods looks for candidates with proven food service and supervisory experience, especially in catering settings such as restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, educational institutions, healthcare, or the military, who bring strong business acumen and interpersonal skills to help grow the business and enhance client satisfaction. This position provides an opportunity to join a purpose-driven organization that values inclusion, professionalism, and a proactive approach while offering comprehensive benefits including health and retirement plans, paid time off, and growth opportunities.
