Job Description

Auro Hotels is a distinguished hospitality company known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and innovative event management services. Among its prized properties is the AC Hotel Greenville, nestled within the vibrant Camperdown Plaza. Camperdown Plaza is a lively mixed-use development that beautifully blends retail, office spaces, residential units, and hospitality services to cultivate a dynamic and thriving community hub. This plaza serves not only as a shopping and lodging destination but as a cultural and social gathering place, making it integral to Greenville’s urban lifestyle.

In this context, the AC Hotel Greenville and Camperdown Plaza are seeking an experienced and proactive Plaza Events Manager. This role is pivotal in planning, coordinating, and executing community events designed to foster positive public relations, strengthen community ties, and enhance overall market awareness. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including retail tenants, office occupants, local organizations, hotel leadership, and property management teams to create engaging events that serve the interests of all parties involved.

The Plaza Events Manager’s responsibilities are extensive and vital to the sustained growth and visibility of Camperdown Plaza and the AC Hotel Greenville. This role demands a strategic thinker who can develop innovative community engagement strategies, foster meaningful relationships with community leaders, and ensure seamless event execution. By managing logistics such as permits, public safety, noise control, and maintenance, the Plaza Events Manager guarantees that each event is impactful, well-organized, and aligned with company objectives.

In addition to event planning and community engagement, the manager also handles marketing and communications efforts related to event promotion. Utilizing tools like social media, email campaigns, websites, and other channels, this role amplifies the presence of events and maintains an ongoing connection with the broader community. Serving occasionally as the spokesperson for Camperdown, the manager represents the brand with professionalism and articulates the plaza's value to diverse audiences.

Financial stewardship is another essential aspect of this position. The Plaza Events Manager develops and oversees budgets related to events, manages client fee collections, and ensures compliance with accounting and regulatory standards. Regular interaction with stakeholders through meetings ensures that all involved parties stay informed and coordinated, allowing for continuous improvements based on event performance outcomes.

This position also emphasizes adherence to Auro Hotels’ high standards of service, professionalism, safety, and teamwork. Flexibility and a customer-focused mindset are crucial, as events may occur during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Overall, the Plaza Events Manager plays a significant role in enriching Greenville’s community life through well-orchestrated events at Camperdown Plaza and the AC Hotel Greenville, contributing directly to the properties’ success and community presence.
