Job Duties

  • Answer incoming calls in a polite and professional manner
  • Screen calls efficiently on whether to transfer, schedule or take messages
  • Schedule appointments accurately with detailed description and demographics
  • Complete medical records requests in an accurate and timely manner
  • Aid in facilitating patient care, referrals, directions, and/or appointments
  • Fulfill appointment requests
  • Timely respond to voicemails with a same day callback
  • Make appointment reminder calls
  • Document conversations in Epic EMR
  • Fulfill patient communication responsibilities as requested or needed by provider
  • Timely and accurate completion of all Epic work queues and in-basket tasks
  • Assist in cancelling and/or rescheduling appointments
  • Answer questions regarding patient statements
  • Accept payments
  • Create payment plans through Waystar
  • Perform other administrative tasks relating to patient and office flow
  • Cross-train with Medical Receptionists and Referral Coordinators
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested
