The role at hand is for a Bartender position based at The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa. This role offers a competitive hourly wage of $16.90. The Bartender will be a key player in delivering memorable and personalized hospitality experiences to guests. The job involves warmly greeting guests, expertly mixing and serving beverages, and engaging guests with descriptive selling of the beverage menu. The ideal candidate will be quick on their feet, personable, and driven to create meaningful guest interactions from arrival to departure.
As a bartender, candidates will work closely with other restaurant and bar staff to ensure seamless service. This includes maintaining the bar's cleanliness and setup, managing inventory of beverages and supplies, preparing fresh fruit and garnishes, and accurately processing orders and payments. The role demands attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years bartending experience
- Valid bartender certification or license
- Thorough knowledge of mixology and beverage service
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Current bartender certification or appropriate license
- Knowledgeable in the latest trends in mixology
- 2-4 years of bartender experience
- Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Greet guests as they arrive or move about the bar area
- Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar daily
- Guide guests on their beverage journey through descriptive selling of the menu
- Be accurate in order taking, confirming all special requests
- Understand bar details to enhance guest conversations
- Work collaboratively with restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Assist guests with concerns to reach satisfactory resolutions
- Finalize the guest experience through timely and accurate bill presentation
- Manage requisitioning and stocking of beer, wine, and spirits
- Maintain stock, prepare and store fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes daily
- Mix, garnish, and present drinks following standard recipes and portion control
- Input orders into the point of sale system and create checks for guests
- Securely lock up and store beverages, food, and equipment items, make cash deposits
