They will also be responsible for communicating guest requests and temperature breakdowns to management, assisting in product receiving and storage, and performing other duties assigned by management. The bakery team member contributes to meeting budgeted sales, shrink, and profit goals for the cake section, emphasizing attention to operational details and financial responsibilities.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to maintain sanitation and organization standards
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests
  • Prepare product for sale including icing, decorating, pricing, packaging and labeling
  • Maintain product level, quality and freshness
  • When requested, perform bakery clerk functions
  • Maintain sanitation standards in cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area
  • Properly clean work area, couplers and decorating bags
  • Maintain organization of the freezer including proper rotation of product according to variety
  • Communicate guest requests to management
  • Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor
  • Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times
  • Properly rotate icings including how to read dates of icings and scrape down buckets
  • Use cake manual as reference material
  • Write on cakes
  • Properly mix colors according to color chart
  • Master the use of the airbrush
  • Use cake production sheet
  • Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the cake section of the bakery
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management
  • Perform Front Porch duties to ensure guest arrival standard is maintained
  • Announce specials and sale info on the PA system
  • Assist in product receiving and storage
