Additionally, this role involves hands-on bakery clerk functions when requested, ensuring sanitation standards are adhered to across all relevant areas such as the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales section. The individual will be accountable for cleaning work areas and equipment like couplers and decorating bags, organizing storage spaces efficiently, and following strict product rotation protocols to maintain inventory integrity.
Effective communication is critical for this position; the employee will report guest requests and temperature breakdowns to management promptly, contributing to smooth operations and high customer satisfaction. Utilizing tools such as the cake manual and production sheets for accurate color mixing, airbrush use, cake writing, and product handling is another key aspect of the role. The candidate will be expected to master various decorating techniques while ensuring that icing buckets and supplies are correctly rotated and maintained.
Performance targets include achieving budgeted sales, controlling shrink, and meeting profit goals for the cake section of the bakery. Additional responsibilities include assisting with product receiving and storage, announcing specials and sales information over the PA system, and performing Front Porch duties to uphold the brand’s guest arrival standards.

Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally
- Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time

Job Duties
- Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests
- Prepare product for sale including icing, decorating, pricing, packaging and labeling
- Maintain product level, quality and freshness
- Perform bakery clerk functions when requested
- Maintain sanitation standards in cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area
- Clean work area, couplers and decorating bags properly
- Organize freezer including proper product rotation
- Communicate guest requests to management
- Report temperature breakdowns to supervisor
- Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times
- Rotate icings properly and scrape down buckets
- Use cake manual as reference material
- Write on cakes
- Mix colors according to color chart
- Master use of airbrush
- Use cake production sheet
- Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for cake section
- Perform all other duties assigned by management
- Perform Front Porch duties to ensure guest arrival standard
- Announce specials and sale info on PA system
