Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain authorization
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and pull up to 250 lbs
  • Ability to operate bakery equipment according to company guidelines
  • Ability to work varied shifts
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and food handling regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0-3 years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Proficiency with bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, and pricing guns
  • Proficient with computer applications related to bakery operations
  • Possession of Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days

Job Duties

  • Produce high quality decorated cakes, pastries, cupcakes, cookies and other bakery items
  • Assist in daily bakery operations
  • Ensure product freshness, quality, and availability at shelf
  • Decorate merchandise per customer specifications using kits and freehand techniques
  • Maintain an efficient order processing system
  • Receive and unload delivery trucks and properly store inventory
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards including product recalls and temperature logs
  • Promote teamwork and communicate company and department information
  • Monitor and manage inventory and supplies to minimize waste
  • Ensure all bakery equipment is operated safely and maintained properly
