The person in this position will be responsible for decorating cakes, pastries, cupcakes, and cookies using both freehand skills and decoration kits. Additionally, they will assist in daily bakery operations, ensuring merchandise is fresh, well-stocked, and accurately processed according to production guidelines. This role requires close attention to detail to maintain food safety standards, product quality, and to follow proper inventory management practices.
The Cake Decorator Floater FT must also actively engage with customers by answering product questions, offering samples, and fulfilling special orders, thereby contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty. The role demands strict adherence to company safety procedures, USDA and Department of Agriculture regulations, and appropriate handling and storage of products. Mandatory safety practices include proper food handling, sanitation, and effective response to any safety concerns or product recalls.
Leadership components of the position involve promoting teamwork, communication, and mutual respect among associates to empower the team to meet departmental goals and compliance standards. The employee is expected to comply with wage and hour policies, and support a culture of safety and operational excellence within the retail environment.
Working in this position requires standing or walking for long periods and performing repetitive tasks, as well as handling bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, and pricing guns. The environment may include exposure to various temperature conditions and physical demands such as lifting, carrying, and pushing loads. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States, with successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check. There are varied shifts, and occasional travel is not expected.

Job Requirements
