The Cake Decorator position at Nugget Markets is a full-time role situated in a dynamic bakery setting. Cake Decorators play a vital role in supporting the bakery team by ensuring that the display cases are stocked with an ample variety of fresh, aesthetically pleasing, and high-quality cakes, pastries, and desserts. Responsibilities of this role include preparing various types of cakes, desserts, and pastries at a consistently fast rate, mixing creams, sauces, fillings, and icings, and expertly applying finishing touches and decorations to cakes. The Cake Decorator also handles guest orders both over the phone and in-person, guaranteeing an outstanding customer experience by combining culinary skill with excellent interpersonal communication. Additional duties include assisting bakers and bakery clerks when necessary and maintaining a clean, sanitary, and visually appealing work environment. The work requires travel among multiple Nugget Market locations including Davis - Mace, Davis - Covell, West Sacramento, and Vacaville, promoting teamwork and flexibility.
