The Food & Beverage team at Target plays a crucial role in maintaining a consistent and high-quality experience for guests by ensuring products are fresh, well-stocked, correctly priced, and appropriately signed on the sales floor. The role of a Cake Decorator within Target's Food & Beverage team offers a unique opportunity to engage with guests while developing specialized skills in cake decorating and customer service. The Cake Decorator is responsible for creating a warm, easy, and inspiring guest experience by preparing and decorating cakes and cupcakes that are seasonally relevant and meet production specifications.

In this role, you will engage directly with guests to capture and fulfill customized cake orders, offering product sampling and suggestions to drive sales and enhance guest satisfaction. You will adhere strictly to food safety standards, monitor inventory, and contribute to the overall presentation and profitability of the department. The Cake Decorator must be flexible and able to adjust to business needs while maintaining a positive team-oriented attitude and demonstrating ethical conduct and workplace safety.

This role is physically active and requires the capability to work in varying environments including refrigeration and freezer settings, and involves handling merchandise up to 44 pounds safely. It also demands clear communication skills using multiple frequency devices and cooperation within a diverse team. Prior cake decorating experience is preferred but not required as Target provides comprehensive training to develop your artistic and technical skills in crafting customized desserts.
