At Weis Markets, the Bakery Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining an inviting bakery department that meets customer demand while delivering exceptional service. This role involves creativity through decorating cakes and pastries according to standard recipes or custom designs, employing a variety of frostings, fillings, and colors to achieve the desired outcome. Additionally, associates handle routine tasks such as trimming cakes, preparing icing, and adhering to quality and sanitation standards to meet health and OSHA requirements.

The Bakery Associate also assists with inventory management, production logging, and merchandising while following company policies on food rotation and freshness. Occasional responsibilities include aiding in receiving and unloading deliveries, with training provided for operating equipment such as power jacks safely. This position demands cooperation with coworkers and supervisors to ensure the smooth functioning of the bakery and the overall store.
