This role is for a Cake Decorator position based at the Sam's Club located at 3247 23RD AVE, Evans, CO. The position is designed for individuals passionate about bakery arts and dedicated to creating visually appealing and high-quality cakes that meet member expectations. As a Cake Decorator, you will play a pivotal role in the bakery department by driving member service and delivering products that members love at competitive prices. You will collaborate closely with other associates to ensure the bakery area operates smoothly, maintaining in-stock levels, controlling shrinkage, and adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.

The Cake Decorator is responsible for planning bakery production schedules and ensuring consistency in decorative designs by following precise recipe measurements and using specialized decorating tools such as decorating bags, tips, and nozzles to create flowers and lettering on bakery items. Attention to detail, artistic creativity, and a strong commitment to quality are vital for success in this role. Besides hands-on decorating duties, you will leverage digital tools and handheld technology to enhance sales, improve the shopping experience, and engage fellow associates effectively. This includes using technology for immediate production decisions, merchandise ordering, and training purposes.

Owning the bakery performance is a key aspect of the position, which means ensuring quality control, eliminating waste, correctly managing product dates, and preparing for increased demand during seasonal events like holidays or graduations. You will also act as an ambassador for the bakery brand by modeling excellent service and fostering a respectful and collaborative team environment. Helping to train colleagues and supporting a culture of continuous improvement will be among your ongoing contributions.
