The position available is for a Cake Decorator, an essential role within the bakery department. This role is focused on preparing and decorating cakes for various occasions, ensuring the presentation and quality meet Meijer’s high standards. The Cake Decorator not only decorates cakes but also fills and conditions the cake case throughout the shift, maintaining a fresh and appealing display for customers. This role requires weekend availability with shifts available from 5 AM to 2:30 PM any day from Sunday to Saturday.

The individual in this role will manage cake out-dates daily to minimize waste and maintain product quality. They will be responsible for receiving and processing cake orders, managing inventory for cakes and icings, and maintaining the cake decorating station with proper sanitation procedures. Additionally, the Cake Decorator will build and maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, and leadership, ensuring a friendly and collaborative environment. There is potential for cross-training to work in other sections such as the deli and bakery areas, offering opportunities to diversify skills and increase contributions to the team.
