In this particular role, we are looking for a dedicated Cake Decorator to join the Meijer family. The selected individual will play an essential part in preparing and decorating cakes for a variety of occasions, bringing creativity and meticulous attention to detail to every cake produced. Responsibilities include managing cake out-dates daily to ensure product freshness, receiving and processing cake orders efficiently, and managing cake and icing inventory to maintain consistent supply. The role also involves managing the cake decorating station, including preparing icings and adhering strictly to all sanitation guidelines to guarantee food safety and quality. Beyond baking and decorating, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining excellent customer relationships, fostering a friendly and positive rapport with customers, team members, and leadership alike. Additional duties include stocking and maintaining product displays in accordance with merchandising and quality standards. There is also potential versatility to work in supporting roles within the deli and bakery areas, providing opportunities to expand skill sets and contribute in multiple capacities.
