Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters and pricing guns
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Ability to handle up to 35 lbs in lifting
Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
Flexibility to work varied shifts
Effective communication skills in English, Spanish preferred

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
0-3 years relevant experience
Strong customer service skills
Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
Knowledge of basic math
Ability to handle stressful situations
Proficient with bakery equipment and computer applications
Possession of Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Ability to understand and follow English instructions

Job Duties

Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated
Ensure the department is merchandised per plan
Deliver daily conditions that meet the company’s expectations for at shelf product availability, freshness, quality and value
Offer product samples, answer product questions and offer customers assistance
Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
Maintain an efficient and organized method of receiving and processing customer orders
Decorate merchandise per customer request ensuring satisfaction with all products
