Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Ability to operate bakery equipment such as slicers, ovens, scales, knives, box cutters and pricing guns
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to handle up to 35 lbs in lifting
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- Flexibility to work varied shifts
- Effective communication skills in English, Spanish preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 0-3 years relevant experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Proficient with bakery equipment and computer applications
- Possession of Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days
- Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions
Job Duties
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated
- Ensure the department is merchandised per plan
- Deliver daily conditions that meet the company’s expectations for at shelf product availability, freshness, quality and value
- Offer product samples, answer product questions and offer customers assistance
- Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled
- Maintain an efficient and organized method of receiving and processing customer orders
- Decorate merchandise per customer request ensuring satisfaction with all products
