At the Funtown Splashtown USA location, Sodexo ensures that visitors enjoy a seamless and memorable experience through efficient and customer-focused service. Sodexo is also dedicated to providing equal employment opportunities and accommodating the diverse needs of its workforce, reflecting its commitment to fairness and respect.
The role of a Food Stand Cashier at Sodexo within the Funtown Splashtown USA venue is an integral part of the food service operations, specializing in high-volume, event-based food sales. This part-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $17, requiring flexibility to work varying shifts and open availability to meet the demands of dynamic event schedules. As a Food Stand Cashier, you will be the frontline representative handling customer transactions quickly and accurately, ensuring a positive customer experience in fast-paced food court environments. This role supports various food service models such as traditional food stands, grab-and-go locations, and self-service kiosks, adapting to different technologies and event setups.
Your responsibilities will focus on efficient cash handling and transaction security, accurate and friendly service during peak event periods, and maintaining clean, organized cashier stations or kiosks. This position demands a high level of awareness of guest flow and surroundings to meet Sodexo's standards of service speed, safety, and compliance. Additionally, as part of the Sodexo team, you will contribute to inventory management by assisting with product stocking, replenishment, and rotation as necessary. The job requires physical stamina, including regularly lifting or moving items weighing up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds. Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts are essential to support the continuous operation of event food services.
Sodexo provides its Food Stand Cashiers with ongoing training opportunities and a supportive team environment that encourages professional development and career advancement. Some locations may require food handler certifications depending on local regulations, and training related to responsible alcohol service, such as TIPS or TEAM, is provided or preferred. Sodexo recognizes the importance of flexibility and work-life balance and offers a range of benefits including paid time off, holiday pay, medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plans, and tuition reimbursement. Additional site-specific perks may include free meals during shifts, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation or parking support.
Joining Sodexo means becoming part of a company with a strong sense of purpose committed to improving daily life and creating a better future for everyone. Sodexo prioritizes a workplace culture of inclusion where employees are valued, respected, and encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work. The company embraces continuous feedback and strives to be a great place to work by listening to its employees and fostering collaborative teamwork. With a focus on equal opportunity employment, Sodexo ensures that hiring decisions are based on merit and business need without discrimination.
