Job Description

Ho-Chunk, Inc. is a renowned economic development corporation that represents the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. With a mission focused on driving long-term economic growth and creating meaningful job opportunities for Tribal members, Ho-Chunk, Inc. is dedicated to supporting community development while preserving the culture and enhancing sovereignty of the Tribe. The company operates through a diverse portfolio of businesses, which allows it to make a significant impact on the regional economy and the well-being of the community it serves. One of its key divisions is WarHorse Gaming, a dynamic gaming and entertainment entity developed in collaboration with the Nebraska Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA).

WarHorse Gaming manages and expands casino gaming at Nebraska's historic horse racing venues located in Lincoln, Omaha, and South Sioux City. The organization strives to blend state-of-the-art casino operations with local economic development initiatives and community engagement. Rooted deeply in Tribal values and focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences, WarHorse Gaming aims to establish premier entertainment destinations that elevate the gaming and hospitality landscape in the region. The company operates with strong adherence to its core NATIVE values: being Native American owned and proud, accountable, team-focused, innovative, visionary, and committed to excellence.

The Cage Cashier position at WarHorse Gaming is a critical role responsible for safeguarding company assets while ensuring all guest financial transactions are handled accurately and professionally. This full-time role requires flexibility in scheduling, with availability needed for all shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to adapt to the property’s operational needs. The compensation for this role starts at $18.50 per hour plus tips, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes federal employees medical coverage, full insurance offerings, 401K company match with immediate vesting, quarterly incentives, paid vacation, holiday and sick days, and a discounted meal program.

As a Cage Cashier, you will be the frontline representative who processes various financial transactions such as cashing chips, gaming tokens, TITO vouchers, slot machine payouts, personal and travelers checks, and debit card cash advances. You will also assist with player club services by issuing and replacing player club cards, providing rewards information, and helping guests with their club-related inquiries. Maintaining accurate and legible financial records, balancing cash drawers at the start and end of shifts, and adhering strictly to internal control standards and gaming regulations are essential components of this role.

This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent customer service aptitude, and the ability to operate within a secure, fast-paced casino environment. In addition to processing transactions, the Cage Cashier will assist the Cage Supervisor in maintaining shift records and ensure the confidentiality of all internal financial and operational information. WardHorse Gaming fosters a collaborative workplace culture where innovation and team focus are paramount, providing employees with opportunities for professional growth and career stability within a mission-driven company committed to economic advancement and community impact.
