The district deeply values community engagement, and recent funding through a community-approved override reflects the strong support it receives, which directly benefits staff compensation and resources. This override is guaranteed through June 2031, ensuring stable and enhanced pay rates for employees.

The district is now seeking motivated individuals for the position of Food Service Worker. The position offers flexibility with hours adjusted according to customer participation volume and is available at multiple locations district-wide. Although the full-time equivalent (FTE) varies, it is important to note that positions with less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Internal candidates transferring will have pay rates aligned with their existing bargaining unit agreements. Those interested in this opportunity can expect a competitive salary schedule, details of which are available on the Employee Agreements Webpage.

This role requires effective communication skills in English, as Food Service Workers must follow verbal and written instructions carefully and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Essential qualifications include previous experience in food service and cashiering or related fields, as well as demonstrated basic math and reading skills at a fifth-grade level. To uphold safety and health standards, candidates must complete a mandatory FBI fingerprint background check, provide proof of immunity or immunization for measles and rubella, and successfully pass a post-offer physical exam including a 50-pound lift test before commencing work.
