This role of Dining Worker/Server at American Dining Creations in Kansas City, Missouri, is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of customer service and food preparation that the company prides itself on. The Dining Worker/Server will work primarily from a food station or serving line, ensuring timely and friendly interactions with guests. Responsibilities extend beyond serving, encompassing cashier duties, assisting with packaging for take-out or mobile orders, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen and dining areas. This position demands adherence to health and safety guidelines, including accurate temperature control and portion management, ensuring food safety and quality. The dining worker/server will also provide guests with detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and pricing, and escalate any customer concerns to management promptly. This job entails working on one's feet for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical activities such as bending and climbing stairs.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years prior experience in customer service, food service, or retail preferred
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Must comply with health and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • 1+ years prior experience in a customer service, food service, or retail position preferred
  • Able to work well with others as well as excel independently
  • Time management skills and task focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills and the ability to read, write, communicate effectively
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs, bend, climb stairs, stand, and walk for entire scheduled shift

Job Duties

  • Follow established recipes to prepare and serve menu items for a food station
  • Greet and serve guests in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure correct serving temperatures and adequate portion control, temperature logs, and dates
  • Provide guests with information regarding food ingredients, availability, and pricing
  • Cashier duties may include operating a POS, accept payment for food and beverage purchases
  • Assist with labels and packaging food for take-out menus and mobile ordering
  • Escalate customer concerns and complaints to management
  • Clean, organize, and maintain kitchen, equipment, utensils, and general areas
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed
