The role of Food and Nutrition/Cafeteria Manager at North Junior High within EVSC is a pivotal position ensuring the effective operation of the school’s cafeteria services. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- three to five years previous experience with quantity food preparation and service
- basic computer skills
- successful completion of EVSC Food and Nutrition Manager's Training Program and a food safety certification class
- ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide accurately
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- ability to write simple correspondence
- ability to effectively present information to students, parents and school staff
- ability to perform duties in compliance with district requirements and policies
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- good organization and math skills
- ability to communicate effectively in a noisy environment

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Plans, directs and supervises the preparation and serving of all food in the cafeteria
- responsible for security of food and supplies and revenue
- oversees and participates in cleaning of kitchen and related areas to ensure compliance with all sanitation codes
- schedules employees, maintains time records, addresses employee concern and provides training as needed
- ensures that all equipment in the cafeteria area is in safe working condition, and notifies the appropriate authority when repairs are needed
- orders food and supplies and maintains accurate records on deliveries and usage
- complies with all federal, state, and local guidelines
- maintains regular attendance
