The position currently open is a Foodservice Supervisor role situated at one of the Sheetz Distribution Center cafeterias or the Sheetz Brothers Kitchen cafeteria. This role is pivotal in overseeing the preparation and service of meals across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catering operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food preparation and service protocols are strictly followed to maintain high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. This supervisory position requires a hands-on approach, guiding and assisting kitchen staff throughout their cooking and service duties, and managing inventory and equipment to ensure smooth operations. Offering a base hourly pay range of $17.66 to $29.43 depending on qualifications and experience, in addition to performance-based bonuses, this job provides a competitive wage that rewards dedication and expertise.

Responsibilities include managing food production efficiently while maintaining compliance with food safety standards, ordering and rotating supplies, handling financial transactions including register receipts, and ensuring all kitchen tools and equipment are operational. The work schedule typically involves five days a week, eight hours a day, with at least one weekend shift per month and occasional holiday work. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Minimum two years experience in foodservice required
  • Ability to supervise and direct a team
  • Knowledge of food safety standards
  • Ability to handle monetary transactions accurately
  • Ability to maintain records of production, spoilage, and temperature
  • Willingness to work 5 days a week including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to manage kitchen equipment and tools

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Minimum two years experience in foodservice required
  • Experience in cooking/catering preferred
  • Experience in supervision preferred
  • Serve Safe Certification preferred
  • Proficient with general office equipment and foodservice equipment such as ovens, fryers, toasters, microwaves, mixers, dishwashers

Job Duties

  • Direct and assist staff to assure that cafeteria/catered meals are prepared and served timely, with a high regard to customer satisfaction and food safety, and assist staff with the preparation, service and clean-up for all meals
  • Order supplies and products as needed, and code and rotate as necessary
  • Ensure that all monies and register receipts are submitted daily
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are in proper working conditions
  • Ensure that production, spoilage and time/temperature records are completed and retained
  • Ensure that Food Safety Standards are upheld in all aspects of food and beverage procurement, storage and production
