The role of Culinary Cafeteria Attendant at Hyatt Regency Houston-Downtown is an entry-level culinary position that plays a vital part in maintaining the high standards of the colleague dining experience. This position involves maintaining the cleanliness and efficient operation of the Colleague Dining Area. The attendant will be responsible for restocking utensils, supplies, and general cleanliness items to ensure a seamless dining environment. The role also supports the culinary team with food preparation tasks such as chopping, dicing, slicing fruits and vegetables, and plating meals to be stocked in the colleague dining room. The Culinary Cafeteria Attendant ensures that colleague meals are adequately stocked and presented in an inviting way. The attendant also plays a key role in creating a warm, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere for all colleagues during their breaks. This position requires an individual who takes pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable space and who engages warmly with colleagues to foster a positive workplace environment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Previous experience in food and beverage preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to maintain cleanliness and work collaboratively

Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness and operation of the Colleague Dining Area
- Restock utensils, supplies, and general cleaning items
- Support the Culinary team with food preparation including chopping, dicing, and slicing fruits and vegetables
- Plate colleague meals for stocking in the dining room
- Ensure colleague meals are adequately stocked
- Create a warm, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere in the Colleague Dining Room
- Engage with colleagues to make them feel welcome
