Team Members work hands-on with the beloved artisan bread and pastry, preparing sandwiches, serving, and crafting coffee and espresso beverages with skill and enthusiasm. The Café Team Member is also expected to be flexible with their schedule, including weekend shifts and various times of the day such as retail open, mid-shift, and retail close. They help maintain a clean, safe, and inviting cafe environment, taking part in bussing, dishwashing, and other cleaning duties as needed. Additionally, the position requires a strong team-oriented mindset, a willingness to pitch in wherever needed, and adherence to cash handling and health standards. Job Requirements

- Proficient in using espresso machines and Point-of-Sale systems
- Skilled in latte art

Job Duties
- Proficient on Point-of-Sale system
- Serves bread and pastry to customers while ensuring both meet company specifications
- Makes and serves all sandwiches according to company specifications including during a rush
- Makes and serves all coffee and espresso drinks according to company specifications including during a rush, proficient at latte art
- Displays product knowledge of all items on menus
- Works multiple shifts including retail open, retail close, and mid/swing shifts
- Maintains clean café environment including bussing, washing dishes, and necessary cleaning tasks
- Volunteers with duties and supports team members
- Adheres to proper cash handling procedures with high accuracy
- Uses checklists and training documents for proficiency with café systems
- Acts in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of the company
- Communicates respectfully and professionally with teammates
- Delivers excellent customer service consistently
- Maintains and demonstrates required competencies throughout employment
- Supports an anti-racist, culturally inclusive workplace by promoting respect and tolerance
- Follows safety requirements and promptly reports hazards and injuries.
