Job Description
Maison Lodi is an exceptional cafe nestled in the vibrant culinary landscape of Lodi, California, a region celebrated for its rich agricultural heritage and thriving wine country culture. Maison Lodi is more than just a place to enjoy a meal; it is a gathering destination where the timeless traditions of French baking harmonize with the laid-back elegance of California's wine country lifestyle. Established under the expert guidance of acclaimed Chef Charlie Palmer and Appellation's Chief Culinary Director Thomas Bellec, Maison Lodi offers guests thoughtfully crafted menus that emphasize artisan breads, rotisserie-roasted dishes, and locally sourced wines. The ambiance of the cafe is both welcoming and beautifully appointed, making it an ideal spot for patrons seeking quality food and exceptional service in a relaxed yet sophisticated environment.
We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate Cafe Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team and ensure the highest standards of guest service and operational excellence. This full-time position plays a critical role in the daily success of our cafe by managing and coordinating front-of-house activities seamlessly with the back-of-house team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates leadership through example, and maintains a strong commitment to quality and teamwork. Responsibilities include managing point-of-sale systems, overseeing opening and closing procedures, and supporting staff through training and development initiatives. This role also demands flexibility, as it requires availability during nights, weekends, and holidays.
Maison Lodi is part of the greater Appellation Lodi - Wine & Roses Resort and Spa, which stands as a leader in hospitality and culinary excellence within the San Joaquin region. The resort offers a idyllic setting for guests, featuring a blend of sophisticated culinary experiences and hospitality services aimed at making romantic getaways, special occasions, and business events memorable. The company fosters a culture of collaboration, quality, and genuine care for both guests and employees, providing ample opportunities for professional growth across various sectors including hospitality management, culinary arts, spa and wellness, event planning, and administration.
Located in the heart of Northern California's wine country, Lodi offers an exceptional quality of life characterized by a charming small-town atmosphere, excellent weather, abundant outdoor activities, and a slower pace of life. The cost of living in Lodi is notably more affordable than nearby metropolitan areas such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Napa, making it an attractive destination for professionals seeking career development combined with a balanced lifestyle. With convenient access to Sacramento, the Bay Area, and Lake Tahoe, Lodi is an ideal location for individuals and families looking to grow their careers while enjoying a high quality of life.
Join Maison Lodi as a Cafe Supervisor and become a key player in bringing a unique culinary experience to life in one of California's most beautiful and welcoming wine regions. You will have the opportunity to work within a passionate team that values integrity, excellence, and community, helping to create memorable experiences for our guests every day.
