We are seeking reliable and hardworking Stewards and Dishwashers to join our dedicated team. In this full-time role, you will work closely with cooks, servers, and bussers to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. Your responsibilities will include cleaning, sanitizing, and drying all china, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Maintaining cleanliness extends beyond dishwashing duties, encompassing the organization of workstations, dishwashing zones, trash disposal areas, and soiled linen locations. Additionally, you will support back-of-house operations by upholding food quality, adhering to safety standards, managing food rotation, and proper storage practices.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. This role is vital to the success of the club’s overall operations, as a clean and organized kitchen supports the delivery of excellent dining experiences to club members and guests. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in dishwashing or related role preferred
- ability to follow sanitation and safety guidelines
- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
- flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- willing to work in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in a steward or dishwasher role preferred
- knowledge of sanitation and kitchen safety standards
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- strong attention to detail
- ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen and service staff
- good physical stamina for standing and lifting
- basic communication skills
Job Duties
- Clean all kitchen and dining supplies appropriately including handwashing and loading/unloading dishwashing machines
- ensure adequate amounts of clean dishes, glasses, and utensils are available for use
- maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, dishwashing areas, trash/disposal areas, and soiled linen areas
- support back-of-house operations especially pertaining to food quality, safety standards, food rotation, and storage
