The role available at the Bellevue location is for a hands-on Cafe Manager who will play a crucial leadership role in launching this new space and managing front of house (FOH) service from the very beginning. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced hospitality leader with a passion for active management and guest engagement, particularly someone who enjoys working behind the bar as part of their daily responsibilities. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $28, plus tips, and includes management-level health insurance benefits and other comprehensive perks.
As the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily FOH operations during your assigned shifts, ensuring that guests receive warm and professional hospitality at all times. You will serve as the on-shift leader and primary point of contact for both guests and staff, setting the tone for service excellence and maintaining a positive atmosphere within the cafe and bar. Training, coaching, and mentoring your FOH team members to perform consistently at elevated service standards will be central to your role. You will be actively involved in bartending shifts, serving coffee, beer, wine, and cocktails, which requires skill and enthusiasm for beverage service.
In addition to guest service and team leadership, the Cafe Manager will handle crucial operational tasks such as opening and closing duties, cash handling, and deposits. Supporting scheduling, inventory management, and ordering ensures the smooth running of the cafe's front of house logistics. Compliance with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations is mandatory, reflecting Sabine's commitment to maintaining a safe and responsible environment for both staff and customers.
This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand and stay active throughout shifts, bend, reach, crouch, and lift weights between 30 to 40 pounds. Job Requirements
- 3+ years of cafe or restaurant management experience
- Bartending experience required including coffee and full bar experience preferred
- Confident, professional communication and leadership skills
- Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast paced environment
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong work ethic and genuine passion for hospitality
- MAST certification required
