This establishment merges the welcoming atmosphere of a neighborhood cafe with the exceptional quality and culinary expertise characteristic of Meyer's celebrated restaurants. Known for its elevated yet familiar menu, Daily Provisions offers classic dishes such as signature crullers, all-day breakfast sandwiches featuring runny yolks, and a variety of freshly brewed coffees and teas. Throughout the day and into the evening, guests can savor chef-driven salads, made-to-order sandwiches, seasonal sides, and comforting dinner entrees like the famous Roast Chicken. The role of Cafe Manager at Daily Provisions is a dynamic leadership position that works closely alongside the General Manager to lead and support both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams. The Cafe Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all locations uphold the highest standards of service, culinary excellence, coffee, and beverage programs. Collaborating with managers across multiple sites, the Cafe Manager fosters a culture steeped in Enlightened Hospitality, which emphasizes genuine care, attention to detail, and an elevated guest experience. The manager is responsible not only for the physical operation and cleanliness of the cafe but also for staff development, employee engagement, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
A key part of the Cafe Manager's role involves mentoring and educating team members to excel in their duties and aligning their efforts with the brand's customer service philosophy. This includes maintaining optimal inventory levels, supporting staff during busy service periods, and ensuring payroll and administrative responsibilities are handled accurately and timely. The manager enforces standards related to the Department of Labor and Health Department regulations to guarantee full compliance. Job Requirements
- 2+ years management experience in a similar environment
- Bachelor’s degree or certification in hospitality-related field or equivalent expertise gained from time on the job preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- NYC DOHMH Food Protection Certificate holder
- English fluency required and Spanish preferred

Job Duties
- Cultivate a culture of Enlightened Hospitality for all stakeholders that supports business objectives and growth
- Exhibit expert knowledge of the beverage and kitchen stations
- Champion Enlightened Hospitality for guests for in store and digital orders, ensuring a memorable experience
- Maintain excellence and cleanliness of the store and ensure appropriate physical inventory availability
- Provide continuous support to FOH and BOH staff and actively participate in the cycle of service as needed
- Ensure compliance with HR practices and policies, holding employees accountable and managing disciplinary procedures
- Complete payroll accurately and in accordance with business and accounting procedures
- Ensure Department of Labor and Health Department compliance for cafe operations
- Provide feedback and guidance focused on excellence and hospitality to support team growth and development
- Identify internal and external opportunities to build the team
- Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned to support operational success
