The company is dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and service in all facets of its operations, ensuring that members not only achieve their health and wellness goals but also enjoy outstanding customer service and community engagement. Life Time prides itself on its inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace culture, where every team member's unique contributions are valued and supported. Recognized for offering comprehensive employee benefits and a supportive work environment, Life Time provides career advancement opportunities for individuals passionate about health, wellness, and hospitality.
The LifeCafe Lead role is an essential leadership position at a LifeCafe location, typically one that operates at a smaller monthly revenue volume. This hands-on leadership role demands a dynamic and proactive individual who can efficiently manage daily operations while maintaining high standards for food quality, service, and team development. The LifeCafe Lead is accountable for ensuring seamless front-of-house and back-of-house management, including inventory oversight, employee scheduling, payroll administration, and strict adherence to all company policies and systems. This position requires someone with a strong business ownership mindset who actively participates in the day-to-day execution of operational activities, sets performance goals, and inspires the team to deliver excellent member experiences consistently.
In this role, the LifeCafe Lead models exemplary performance by working in "The Zone," where they lead by example through hands-on involvement in food preparation, hospitality, and team coordination. The leader is responsible for managing key business drivers such as controlling food and labor costs, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing strategies to meet financial goals. They also play a pivotal role in hiring, training, and mentoring team members, fostering a positive and productive workplace culture that embraces teamwork and outstanding service. Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant environment is a critical part of the position, with the LifeCafe Lead ensuring food safety standards, sanitation, and security protocols are upheld at all times.
Ideal candidates will have strong leadership experience within the food service industry, demonstrated ability to manage operational costs effectively, and a passion for delivering superior customer experiences. Additionally, the LifeCafe Lead should have flexibility in their work schedule to accommodate days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Certifications such as ServSafe and CPR/AED are required to ensure safety and compliance. Preferred qualifications include education or coursework in culinary arts, hospitality, or business and prior experience as a business owner or in roles requiring a strong systems orientation and operational follow-through.
This position offers both the challenge and reward of contributing meaningfully to Life Time's mission of enhancing healthy lifestyles while developing valuable management skills in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment. Benefits include a fully subsidized membership, discounts on Life Time products and services, 401(k) retirement savings with company match, and robust health coverage among others. This is a full-time role with opportunities for growth and ongoing professional development within a well-respected organization dedicated to inclusivity and merit-based advancement.
