Wild Thyme Cafe & Market is a vibrant and community-focused establishment situated in the heart of Pasco County's first neighborhood farm. Metro Lagoons, the parent organization of Wild Thyme Cafe, is currently seeking a Cafe Lead for the cafe located in the Angeline Welcome Center in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering outstanding dining experiences in a setting that highlights the importance of fresh and local foods. The Cafe Lead will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence, acting as the primary point of contact in the absence of the General Manager. The employment type for this role is typically full-time or part-time with flexible scheduling options, designed to meet the needs of the busy hospitality environment.
As the Cafe Lead, the individual will take charge of providing exceptional service to residents and guests by preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. They will be responsible for running food items, clearing tables, and ensuring that the dining area remains inviting and well-organized at all times. Additionally, the Cafe Lead will supervise staff as needed, offering leadership and support that fosters a positive work culture. The role requires a blend of customer service expertise, beverage preparation skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure.
The successful candidate will also be tasked with compliance with all food and beverage regulations, including ensuring customers meet legal drinking age requirements and monitoring alcohol consumption according to company and state guidelines. Inventory management through restocking and replenishment of supplies is an essential part of the position to maintain smooth daily operations. The role demands attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to various duties ranging from bar service to light maintenance tasks.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 3 years experience in hospitality or similar role preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of beverage preparation and food service
- ability to adhere to health and safety regulations
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to handle multiple tasks at once
- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- valid identification check and compliance with alcohol laws
- willingness to perform light maintenance tasks
- reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar facility preferred
- professional manner, discretion, and appearance
- excellent customer service skills
- kitchen experience preferred
- strong work ethic
- leadership experience preferred
- efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously
- proven experience in performing light maintenance tasks, preferably in a similar setting
- ability to stand for extended periods of time

Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service and promote positive guest experience
- prepare and serve both non-alcohol and alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests
- interact with customers, take orders, and serve food and drinks
- assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- mix ingredients to prepare drinks
- check IDs to ensure appropriate customers meet legal drinking age
- monitor guest consumption of alcohol, following all company and state guidelines
- restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- comply with all food and beverage regulations
- perform front line duties as part of weekly schedule
