The role of the Customer Service Associate at Victory Cafe is pivotal for sustaining the high standards for which the cafe is known. This position is designed for individuals who are enthusiastic, customer-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. The role involves greeting customers warmly as they enter, taking their orders accurately via a POS system while noting any customizations, and crafting beverages such as espresso drinks, lattes, pour-overs, teas, and cold brews according to company recipes and quality standards. The associate must also engage in preparing and serving food items like pastries, sandwiches, and soups, ensuring that all offerings meet quality controls including proper grinding, measuring, and steaming of milk.
Additionally, the Customer Service Associate plays a key role in maintaining the cafe environment by restocking supplies continuously, tracking inventory levels, and supporting the setup and closing of daily operations including sanitation and cash register balancing. This role requires flexibility as it includes weekend shifts and scheduling. The position demands physical activity, including moving merchandise up to 35 pounds, reaching, bending, and standing for extended periods. Beyond technical skills, upholding integrity and modeling positive behavior aligned with Victory's biblical standards is essential. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- food handlers permit
- customer service experience preferred
- ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- ability to stand and walk continuously throughout shifts
- good communication skills
- ability to multi-task in fast-paced environments

- commitment to uphold biblical standards and maintain confidentiality

Job Qualifications
- Food handlers permit

- some experience working in a POS system and cash handling

- barista knowledge preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Greeting customers immediately and warmly upon entry
- accurately taking orders via the POS system noting customizations
- preparing and serving hot and cold beverages following specific recipes and company standards
- ensuring quality control by dialing in grinders and measuring coffee
- preparing and serving food items such as pastries, sandwiches, and soup
- restocking supplies to maintain workflow
- tracking inventory levels and notifying management of low supplies
- setting up or shutting down equipment and sanitizing machines
- balancing the cash register at the end of the shift
- processing cash and credit card transactions accurately
- providing positive and cheerful customer service
- assisting in prepping food and drink areas
- working weekend shifts and maintaining scheduling flexibility
