The current opening is for a Food Service Worker position located at Abbott’s Columbus, Ohio facility within the CHR Corporate Human Resources division. This is a full-time, weekday role with shifts scheduled from 6:00 pm to 2:30 am, Monday through Friday. The role involves general food service duties focused on preparing a variety of foods across multiple stations, including specials and other designated food service areas. The position requires a strong focus on food safety and sanitation practices to maintain high standards in the designated food stations.
Beyond food preparation, the Food Service Worker assists with catering, food production, and other café-related projects and events, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining efficient operation of the front-of-house environment. Responsibilities include operating the POS system, handling cash transactions accurately, and maintaining the stock of front-of-house items. This position requires flexibility, quick learning, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills and verbal communication skills

- Prior kitchen experience of 2-3 years, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Quick learning agility with the ability to be flexible and handle multiple tasks or work at multiple stations
- Ability to operate POS system and correctly count cash transactions
- Two-year degree or some college credits preferred
- ServSafe Food Protection or similar food safety training program preferred
Job Duties
- Maintain a high level of quality and integrity of food confidence with customers and provide outstanding customer service
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Train for the ability to fill in at many of the café stations
- Run POS transactions during dinner services and late-night services while maintaining stock of various front of house items
- Operate POS system and correctly count cash transactions
- Maintain stock of front of house items
- Prepare and fill Deli and Salad Bar stations as needed
