Job Description

Fields is a family owned and operated dealership renowned for its commitment to providing a luxury experience to both internal and external customers. The dealership operates Monday through Saturday and is seeking a dedicated and positive team member to join its dynamic operation. This role focuses on preparing and cooking food items to deliver the highest quality service and experience to customers visiting the facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an organized and efficient kitchen or café environment, ensuring proper food handling, sanitation practices, and food storage procedures are followed at all times.

This position is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and team-oriented setting, takes pride in food quality and presentation, and is committed to upholding the dealership's standards of excellence. The role involves preparing ingredients such as chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, cooking food using various utensils and grills, checking foods while cooking, dressing dishes for optimal presentation, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen area. Additionally, the team member will manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and placing orders when necessary to prevent shortages.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience as a cook, familiarity with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware, knowledge of various cooking methods including grilling, baking, and boiling, and a strong understanding of sanitation procedures. They must excel in teamwork, communication, and sustaining physical stamina throughout the workday. Candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent are preferred.

Job Duties

  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking such as chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat
  • Cook food using various utensils or grills
  • Check food while cooking to stir or turn as needed
  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
