Job Duties

  • Greet all customers by providing quick, friendly and personal service
  • Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer
  • Sell and serve baked goods and food items to customers
  • Process transactions through the POS and provide change to customers
  • Follow cash handling procedures and cash register policies
  • Maintain the highest level of standards for all product preparation
  • Adhere to all licensed recipes, specialty drinks, measurements and food presentation standards
  • Provide top quality espresso shots for hot and cold beverages
  • Maintain espresso equipment to manufacturer and sanitation standards
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and set positive example for the shift team
  • Communicate with staff and management to solve problems and improve quality and service and effectively implement change
  • Contribute to cafe goals for increasing sales and improving profits
  • Assist with new barista training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching
  • Monitor and record temperatures of food items and equipment
  • Report food danger temperatures to manager
  • Monitor cooked food temperatures and utilize established procedures to ensure safe food handling techniques and prevent bacteria contamination
  • Prepare inventory, requisition daily supplies and ensure proper labeling and storage
  • Replenish food service areas including supply of food, cold beverages, dry supplies, paper supplies
  • Follow established operational policies and procedures to ensure safe food handling techniques and prevent bacteria contamination
  • Perform sanitation duties on a continual basis to ensure safe work environment including utensils, refrigerators, transportation carts and food service equipment
  • Maintain proper production, safety and sanitation standards
  • Correct deficiencies as required, including interpretation, maintenance and implementation
  • Comply with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point standard
