We are currently seeking a dedicated and personable Caf team member to join our friendly and talented staff. This position is part-time and long-term, offering up to 19.5 hours per week, including weekday morning or afternoon shifts and at least every other Saturday. The Caf at Westport Library provides a variety of baked goods, snacks, salads, sandwiches, and a wide array of drinks such as espressos, lattes, and specialty beverages. As a Caf Associate, you will play an essential role in delivering superior customer service, preparing and serving food and drinks, handling payments via POS systems, and maintaining cleanliness and order within the Caf environment.

Ideal candidates are honest, self-motivated, and reliable individuals who bring a positive attitude to the team. Experience with POS payment systems, as well as the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced setting, are crucial to success in this role. Prior caf experience and espresso bar knowledge are preferred but not mandatory since comprehensive training will be provided. Priority will be given to applicants holding a ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification. The position demands physical stamina, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy stock items up to 40 pounds.

Compensation for this role starts at $16.94 per hour plus tips, reflecting our commitment to rewarding hardworking and loyal team members.
