The company offers a dynamic and inclusive work environment where every team member plays a vital role in the success of the business. Sam's Club provides competitive pay, a broad range of benefits, and opportunities for career growth and development, making it a preferred employer in the retail and wholesale industry.

The Food Merchandise Associate position at Sam's Club is designed for individuals who are passionate about food preparation, safety, and customer service. This role involves working collaboratively with team members to maintain up-to-date knowledge of food product specifications and enhance operational efficiency. The associate will prepare food items according to precise specifications and plan for mass productions, including seasonal adjustments. Additionally, the associate is responsible for inventory management and the maintenance and sanitation of equipment used in food preparation.

Leveraging digital tools is another vital aspect of the position; associates will utilize handheld devices to make informed business decisions regarding production, merchandising, and training, all aimed at enhancing the member experience. Being adaptable to new technologies and encouraging team members to embrace these tools will be crucial to success. Operational ownership means driving the performance of the food merchandise area by managing stock levels, rotating merchandise, enforcing quality and date control standards, and minimizing waste.

Customer service is at the heart of this role, with associates providing outstanding support by greeting members, understanding their needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, and resolving any concerns efficiently and courteously. As a Talent Ambassador, the associate also acts as a brand advocate who influences and inspires colleagues to work collaboratively and respectfully in a team-oriented environment. This role requires an individual who can identify roadblocks, supports training initiatives, complies with company policies and ethics, and embraces continuous learning and adaptation.

Sam's Club offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $27.00, depending on experience and location, as well as performance-based incentives and premium pay opportunities based on schedule, facility, and work performed. Comprehensive health benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage, along with financial benefits such as 401(k), stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off includes vacation, sick leave, parental and family care leave, and other leaves such as bereavement and jury duty. Additional benefits encompass disability insurance, company discounts, military leave pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, and educational programs such as Live Better U, which covers tuition, books, and fees for various academic goals. Sam's Club fosters a supportive and drug-free workplace to ensure a safe and productive environment for all employees.
