The role of a Prepared Food Team Member at Sam's Club is vital in ensuring the quality and availability of prepared food merchandise while delivering outstanding member service. The Prepared Food Team Member is also responsible for driving performance in their work area by managing stock levels, rotating merchandise, controlling waste, and addressing members' needs with courteous and constructive communication. They play a key role in training and supporting fellow associates, fostering a respectful and cooperative team environment. The position contributes to the overall success of the club by upholding company policies, continuous learning, and adapting to an ever-evolving workplace.
Sam's Club offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $18.00 to $26.00, with potential additional premiums based on schedule, facility, or seasonality. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Successful completion of all job required trainings and assessments within prescribed time period
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Capability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with food preparation
- Adherence to company policies and drug-free workplace rules
- Willingness to collaborate with others and maintain professionalism in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Food safety certification preferred
- Food handler certification (food safety) preferred
- Experience in food service is an advantage
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise
- Collaborate with cross functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources
- Communicate effectively with team members and be flexible to work in other areas
- Prepare food according to item specifications and plan future production
- Adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and cold chain compliance
- Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
- Leverage digital tools to drive sales and enhance shopping experience
- Use handheld technology for business decisions related to production, ordering, receiving, and training
- Drive area performance by stocking, rotating merchandise and controlling waste
- Provide member service by acknowledging members, assisting with purchasing decisions, and resolving concerns
- Act as a brand advocate and develop a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented work environment
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers and colleagues
