With a focus on innovation, customer satisfaction, and employee development, Sam's Club fosters a dynamic and inclusive work culture that values teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
The position available is a crucial role within the prepared foods team at Sam's Club, located in Fridley, MN. This role offers full-time or part-time employment with an hourly wage range from $19.00 to $27.00, subject to meeting or exceeding minimum wage requirements depending on the job location. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of premiums based on scheduling, facility, seasonal demands, or specific work performed. This opportunity also includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses and a variety of comprehensive benefits.
As a prepared foods team member, you will be entrusted with multiple responsibilities aimed at ensuring high-quality food products and exceptional member service. The role demands maintaining up-to-date knowledge of product specifications and collaborating effectively across functions to educate other associates. You will prepare food following strict guidelines including safety, sanitation, and cold chain compliance. The job requires an understanding of production planning to accommodate future demand and seasonality. Technological proficiency is essential as you will leverage digital tools to enhance sales, optimize inventory ordering and receiving, and support training initiatives. Additionally, you will act as an owner by managing merchandise quality control, rotation, and waste reduction while actively engaging with members to assist their purchasing decisions and resolve any concerns.
This position also carries the responsibility of being a talent ambassador for the brand. You will foster a respectful and supportive team environment and contribute to training initiatives by identifying obstacles and helping others overcome them. Complying with company policies and ethical standards is fundamental, and you will utilize the Open Door Policy to uphold transparency in business practices. The role demands excellent communication skills for collaboration with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners. You will be responsible for prioritizing assignments, meeting deadlines, and adapting to change and feedback for continuous growth.
Sam's Club provides a robust benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional advancement. Benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage; financial benefits like 401(k), stock purchase, and company-paid life insurance; as well as paid time off options including parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting-related leave. Additional benefits offer short-term and long-term disability, company discounts, military leave pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, and more. An exclusive education benefit program, Live Better U, is also available with full tuition payment for degrees and certificates. These benefits are subject to eligibility based on job classification and length of employment and are designed to help employees live better both personally and professionally.
Candidates must be 18 years or older and willing to complete all required job trainings and assessments upon hiring. Preferred qualifications include certifications in Food Safety and Food Handling, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high standards in food preparation. Sam's Club is committed to a drug-free workplace with zero tolerance for illegal drug or alcohol use to ensure a safe and productive working environment for all employees.
