The role being offered is a key position within the prepared food merchandise team. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about food preparation, quality service, and teamwork. The position involves a variety of responsibilities that range from maintaining up-to-date knowledge of prepared food products to collaborating with cross-functional teams and educating other associates on tools, tasks, and resources. Associates in this role are expected to be versatile and willing to work in other store areas as business needs arise.
The successful candidate will prepare food following established item specifications, plan for future and mass productions, and manage seasonal inventory. Adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management is crucial. Associates will also operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Leveraging digital tools to enhance sales and improve both member and associate experiences is an important aspect of the role. This includes using handheld technology for immediate business decisions related to production, ordering merchandise, receiving club pickup orders, training, and product quality management.
The position requires a proactive and ownership-driven approach where associates drive performance in their areas by managing merchandise stock and rotation, ensuring quality and date control standards, and minimizing waste. Providing excellent customer service is a priority, including acknowledging members, assisting with purchasing decisions, and resolving any inquiries or concerns. Additionally, the role serves as a talent ambassador by fostering a brand-positive environment, inspiring and supporting team members, understanding challenges, and assisting with training as needed.
Compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards is mandatory. The role requires effective communication, collaboration with managers and coworkers, and the ability to adapt to change and feedback.
