The role of a Prepared Food Team Member at Sam's Club is dynamic and vital to the seamless operation and customer satisfaction within the prepared foods department. This position is geared towards individuals who have the ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise and can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The team member will assist in educating other associates on various tools, tasks, and resources and be flexible in adapting to the business needs by working across various areas.

Key responsibilities involve preparing food according to item specifications while ensuring adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and proper inventory management. The team member is expected to understand future productions and plan for seasonal demands, operate and maintain equipment with high standards of hygiene, and demonstrate competence in product execution and layout. Additionally, this role requires leveraging digital tools to enhance sales and improve member engagement by using handheld technology for real-time business decisions, order management, and training.

An essential aspect of the role is driving area performance through effective merchandise stocking, rotation, and quality control measures. Providing excellent member service by acknowledging and assisting members with purchasing decisions and resolving concerns is paramount. The Prepared Food Team Member also serves as a brand ambassador, fostering a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented work environment while assisting in the training and development of colleagues.

Employment for this position is hourly with a wage range from $17.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on location and experience. Additional premiums may be applicable in specific conditions based on schedule or work performed.
