Sam's Club is a leading membership-based warehouse club in the retail industry, delivering outstanding value and quality products to millions of members across the United States. As part of the Walmart family, Sam's Club combines the benefits of a strong corporate foundation with the flexibility to innovate and provide tailored services that meet local community needs. This company is renowned for its commitment to customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and employee development, making it a preferred employer in the retail sector. With thousands of locations nationwide, Sam's Club operates on the principle of creating a seamless shopping experience through high-quality products, competitive pricing, and member-focused services. They embrace technology to enhance business processes and empower their associates to deliver exceptional service every day.

The Food Team Member role at Sam's Club is a dynamic and essential position responsible for maintaining excellent standards within the prepared food merchandise area. This position involves a mixture of technical food preparation, customer service, and operational responsibilities, all crucial to ensuring that members receive high-quality products safely and efficiently. Team Members must stay knowledgeable about product specifications and collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams to educate and support their colleagues. Flexibility is a key attribute as the role may require working in various sections of the business to meet changing demands.

Team Members actively plan for future production needs, mass productions, and seasonality while strictly adhering to food safety standards, sanitation rules, and cold chain compliance. Equipment operation, sanitation, and inventory management are critical components of the job to maintain quality and efficiency. Leveraging digital tools for business decision-making and improving the overall member shopping experience is also a fundamental part of this role. Utilizing handheld technology for tasks such as ordering merchandise, managing inventory, receipt of club pick-up orders, and quality monitoring is essential.

Furthermore, this position calls for ownership of the area performance, including stocking, rotating merchandise to ensure freshness, adhering to date control standards, eliminating waste, and delivering excellent member service. It involves engaging with members by assisting with purchases, handling payment types, resolving concerns, and fostering an environment that supports high morale and productivity. As a Talent Ambassador, the Team Member represents the brand, helps develop and inspire colleagues, and actively participates in training and mentoring others.

This role requires strict compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity standards, using the Open Door Policy where appropriate. Collaboration with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners is essential to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, adapt to changes, and continuously improve business processes. Sam's Club values associates who communicate progress effectively and contribute to a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented work atmosphere.

Sam's Club offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.50 to $27.50, with additional premium pay opportunities based on schedule, location, season, or specific work performed. Their comprehensive benefits package fosters a healthier lifestyle, financial security, and work-life balance, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) retirement plans; paid time off; and company education benefits through Live Better U. This holistic approach ensures associates are supported both professionally and personally, enhancing job satisfaction and retention.
