Known for its commitment to quality, affordability, and exceptional member service, Sam's Club operates numerous locations across the United States, empowering communities and enhancing shopping experiences through innovative retail solutions and a focus on customer satisfaction. As part of the Walmart family of companies, Sam's Club benefits from a vast network of resources that supports its associates with competitive pay, attractive benefits, and opportunities for growth. With a dedication to inclusivity, safety, and continuous learning, Sam's Club creates a dynamic work environment for its team members to thrive and build rewarding careers.

The Food Preparation Team Member role at Sam's Club plays a vital part in delivering high-quality prepared food merchandise to members. This position is designed for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and who are passionate about food safety, product quality, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and assist in training colleagues on various tools and procedures. As a key member of the prepared foods team, the individual will prepare food items according to strict specifications while considering future demand, seasonal variations, and mass production requirements.

In addition to preparation duties, the role requires adherence to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management protocols. The Food Preparation Team Member will operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment regularly, ensuring that all processes meet company standards. The position leverages technology by using handheld devices to improve operational efficiency, manage orders, conduct training, and guarantee the highest level of product quality with the member in mind.

The role also embodies a sense of ownership, where the team member drives performance standards in their designated area by stocking, rotating merchandise, and minimizing waste. Providing excellent member service is paramount, including assisting members with purchases, payment processing, and resolving any concerns promptly and professionally. Furthermore, this position requires acting as a talent ambassador by promoting a respectful and supportive team environment, identifying and assisting with barriers that may impact training and performance.

Sam's Club offers competitive compensation for this position, with an hourly wage range from $17.00 to $25.00 depending on job location and other factors. Additional premium pay may be awarded based on schedule, work type, facility, or season. Associates benefit from a comprehensive suite of health, financial, paid time off, and other supplemental benefits. Health coverage includes medical, vision, and dental insurance, while financial benefits encompass 401(k) plans, stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off includes vacation, sick leave, parental and family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting time. Other benefits available to associates include short-term and long-term disability coverage, company discounts, military leave pay, and adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursements.

Sam's Club also supports associate growth and education through the Live Better U program, which covers tuition, books, and fees for high school completion, bachelor's degrees, English language learning, and various certificates. Eligibility for benefits is subject to job classification and length of service, with details accessible via internal resources. The company maintains a strong commitment to a drug-free workplace with zero tolerance for illegal drug and alcohol use, ensuring a safe and productive atmosphere for all employees.
