Job Description
Capital One is a leading financial institution recognized for its commitment to innovation and customer-centric banking solutions. As a trailblazer in the banking industry, Capital One has transformed traditional banking by eliminating the barriers of teller lines and glass windows, instead opting for a more engaging and interactive approach that emphasizes human connection and digital accessibility. Capital One operates in various sectors including retail banking, credit cards, and financial services, supporting a wide community with a mission to change banking for good. The company values inclusivity, innovation, and the empowerment of both its employees and customers, fostering a culture where meaningful connections and impactful service take precedence over traditional sales tactics. This philosophy is particularly embodied in its unique Café Ambassador role.
The Café Ambassador position at the Westfield Southcenter location in Tukwila, WA, offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in Capital One's modern community hubs—spaces designed to serve as both local coffee shops and interactive banking environments. Unlike traditional banking roles, this position is designed for those who thrive on building genuine relationships and providing top-tier customer experience through service and support rather than transactional sales. Ambassadors act as guides, ushering customers through Capital One's digital tools and mobile offerings while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The role is crucial in bridging technology with human interaction, ensuring clients not only understand digital banking but also feel valued and supported within their community space. Responsibilities include engaging guests in a high-energy environment, promoting Capital One products through conversational advocacy rather than high-pressure sales, hosting educational and community events focused on financial health, and resolving customer issues with empathy and professionalism in line with regulatory guidelines. Ambassadors are also culture carriers who nurture inclusivity and positivity, adapting flexibly to schedule changes and business needs. This role requires mobility throughout the café to support the flow and energy of the guest experience.
This full-time role pays an annual salary ranging between $52,624 and $57,408 for the Tukwila location, with salaries for other locations adjusted accordingly. Capital One emphasizes professional growth and well-being with a comprehensive benefits package that begins on day one. Benefits include health coverage, paid time off, education assistance, retirement plans with company matching, and wellness resources—all designed to support employees' personal and professional development. Capital One seeks individuals ready to contribute to a mission-driven workplace that values transformative impact over quotas, offering a fulfilling career path that blends fintech innovation with community engagement. If you are passionate about empowering others through digital banking and excel in dynamic, customer-facing environments, this role offers a rewarding way to support and shape the future of banking.
