Job Requirements
- associate degree in drafting, engineering, or AutoCAD or equivalent education and experience
- civil engineering, architectural, or construction experience preferred
- proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Inventor
- strong skills with Microsoft Excel
- excellent mathematical and attention to detail abilities
- ability to interpret site plans and technical documents
- strong communication and collaboration skills
- adaptability to changes and unforeseen events
Job Qualifications
- associate degree in drafting, engineering, or AutoCAD or a combination of post-secondary education and experience
- civil engineering, architectural, or construction experience preferred
- ability to accurately read and interpret site plans with knowledge of civil engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
- strong technical skills in AutoCAD with working knowledge of Inventor preferred
- experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- excellent math skills and attention to detail
- ability to work collaboratively and adapt to frequent changes and unexpected events
- ability to read and interpret technical documents, manuals, site plans, and engineering concepts
- excellent oral and written communication skills
Job Duties
- utilize custom programs to create detailed drawings and bills of material for manufacturing and installation
- review design information, site plans, and manuals to determine critical design dimensions
- use software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, and Excel to meet project deadlines
- confer with design staff to determine design requirements, modifications, and resolve issues
- perform calculations to generate necessary design information for fabrication drawings
- develop and maintain standard and custom details for all product families
- interface between commercial operations, fabrication plant managers, customer service representatives, and stormwater engineers
