The role offered at the Miami, Florida location on 455 Grand Bay Drive is for a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage and Culinary category. As a vital member of the team, the individual in this role will serve as a group coordinator and host or hostess during banquet functions. This position involves collaborating directly with group coordinators or hosts before events to introduce themselves and confirm that all event arrangements meet the expectations and requirements of guests.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, including reading and analyzing banquet event orders to gather critical information about guests, setup requirements, event timelines, and special needs such as buffets or action stations. The coordinator will be responsible for responding to any special requests or arrangements and ensuring compliance throughout the event. Maintaining high standards of safety and security by adhering to company policies, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions, and completing mandatory safety training is essential.
In addition to operational responsibilities, this role demands a professional and polished appearance and the ability to maintain confidential information. Exceptional customer service skills are critical, including welcoming guests according to company standards, anticipating their needs, and expressing genuine appreciation. Effective communication, both verbal and telephonic, is necessary for maintaining positive relations with guests and team members. The role also includes physical demands such as standing or walking for extended periods, moving objects up to 25 pounds, and navigating various physical environments safely.
