The role of the Pool Host at JW Marriott Nashville is a vital position focused on ensuring exemplary guest service at the hotel's Cabana Club pool area. This position is responsible for welcoming guests and providing assistance with towels, seating arrangements, chair covers, and accommodating any guest requests promptly and courteously, in alignment with the high standards of the hotel. The Pool Host plays a crucial role in maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of the pool deck environment by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness from the beginning of each day. This includes sweeping, watering down the pool deck, organizing furniture, and attending to the presentation of cabanas. Guest satisfaction is of utmost importance, so the Pool Host must anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and skillfully handle any guest complaints to ensure their expectations are exceeded. Responsibilities also extend to routine maintenance duties such as folding towels, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables, and monitoring pool furniture for repairs, reporting issues as necessary. Job Duties

Ensure the pool deck is swept and watered down and that all furniture is in the correct place when setting up in the morning
greet all guests upon arrival, distribute towels, offer assistance with seating, and delivering consistent guest service, exceeding guest expectations, and providing all other supporting services
anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests
resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction
monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas including
stocking of supplies, folding napkins, cleaning menus, sanitizing tables
responsible for maintaining cleanliness of pool deck and facilities including straightening and stacking chairs, collecting soiled towels and trash, moving chairs, collecting towels, and tidying up cabanas
obtain clean towels and transport to pool
fold and stack towels
ensure all pool deck furniture is straight and organized, including cabanas
check all lounges for need of repairs, mark them, and report them to Engineering
