The position available is for a Barista within a Starbucks establishment operated by HMSHost. This is a non-exempt role reporting to the Store Manager and starting at $20.00 per hour. The Barista is responsible for providing excellent customer service by fulfilling drink and food orders to Starbucks and HMSHost standards, managing sales transactions, and supporting various store functions. Duties include greeting customers, offering product information and upselling, preparing beverage orders, handling cash and card payments accurately, and maintaining cleanliness and inventory in the customer and food preparation areas. The role requires clear and friendly communication, the ability to educate customers on coffee beans and brewing methods, and adherence to safety, security, and operational policies. Baristas must maintain composure during busy periods and set a positive example for their colleagues.
