Job Description

Aviatron is a specialized company focused on delivering high-quality aircraft component overhaul and repair services tailored for Regional Jet and Commercial Aircraft Operators globally. With a strong emphasis on quality and innovation, Aviatron, Inc. plays an essential role in ensuring the reliability and cost-effectiveness of aircraft maintenance through the strategic use of Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) and Designated Engineering Representative (DER) parts. These parts are critical for the Air Cycle Machines, particularly for the rotating group components on CRJ and Dash 8 aircraft. Aviatron's commitment to quality does not compromise reliability, enabling significant cost savings for customers while maintaining high standards of performance.

The company boasts a comprehensive range of capabilities that span various manufacturers and numerous aircraft components. This versatility is supported by a team of knowledgeable and dedicated professionals who prioritize superior service and cost-effective solutions. Aviatron understands the paramount importance of keeping aircraft operational and minimizing downtime, reinforcing its dedication to meeting customer needs efficiently.

The position offered comes with a competitive base salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, complemented by bonus potential. Employees benefit from a comprehensive package including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Additional perks encompass a 401(k) plan with matching contributions up to 6%, as well as vacation, sick days, and flexible work arrangements.

The role primarily involves managing Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul, and Supply (MROS) activities, focusing on maintaining adequate stock levels and ordering product supplies in a timely manner. Responsibilities include negotiating with vendors and fostering strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the punctual delivery of purchased products. The role also demands meticulous record-keeping of negotiation histories to maintain transparency and efficiency.

Key functions include monitoring inventory levels to ensure the required stock is sustained, actively researching and sourcing new suppliers, and evaluating products and services to meet quality and cost expectations. The position entails reviewing quotations and negotiating contracts strategically to align with company goals. Issuing purchase orders based on customer demand, managing supplier open order books, and tracking purchase orders to expedite delivery are integral aspects of the job.

Collaborating with Product Management, the incumbent facilitates supplier selection through competitive bidding, leveraging business acumen, sourcing analysis, and negotiation skills to optimize procurement. The role ensures all buying activities align with product line management and company inventory goals to secure appropriate profit margins. Additionally, the candidate will interpret and adjust supply chain settings within the MRP system for operational efficiency.

Candidates should be effective communicators, capable of maintaining robust relationships both with suppliers and internal teams. Organizational skills and the ability to multitask are vital, alongside a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in purchase orders and adherence to company policies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word, is expected, as well as experience with data entry and procurement software tools like ERP/MRP systems.

The position is suitable for candidates with a high school diploma and 0-2 years of experience in supply chain roles or similar fields. Analytical skills, including the ability to calculate price breaks and apply basic algebra and geometry, coupled with strong negotiation skills, are essential. The candidate must demonstrate the capacity for decision-making under pressure and exhibit sound reasoning abilities when dealing with complex problems and abstract variables.

Physical requirements include occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, alongside the movement of inventory using appropriate personal protective equipment and techniques. Regular activities involve sitting, using hands for detailed tasks, talking, and listening. The work environment has moderate noise levels and does not require special vision capabilities.

This role offers a dynamic career opportunity with Aviatron, a leader in aircraft component overhaul and repair, providing the chance to contribute to aviation safety and reliability while benefiting from a supportive and comprehensive employment package.
