The position of Server Assistant at Zea Rotisserie and Bar is vital to the smooth operation and guest satisfaction of the restaurant. As a Server Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the servers by performing a variety of essential duties that ensure guests have a superior dining experience from start to finish. Your primary responsibilities involve clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables efficiently to maximize seating turnover without compromising the quality of service. Beyond these tasks, you will assist servers with running food, maintaining cleanliness in all restaurant areas including restrooms and patios, and handling general maintenance activities such as garbage runs. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to read, write, and understand written and spoken English
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear and taste or smell regularly
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Willingness to work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Job Duties

  • Assist with ensuring all guests receive a superior dining experience
  • Turn tables as quickly as possible by clearing, cleaning, sanitizing, and resetting a table in 45 seconds from the time it becomes vacant
  • Assist with running food
  • Have a good knowledge of the menu and an excellent knowledge of the floor plan
  • Assist other employees whenever possible and promote teamwork
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the dining areas, bar, wait stations, parking lot, patio, and restrooms
  • Have a full awareness of all necessary stocking at the wait stations and bar including glasses, ice bins, side plates, silverware
  • Complete all assigned opening, running, shift change and closing duties
  • Serve all guests with interest, speed, and attention to detail according to Taste Buds Management's service standards
  • Empty and reline trash cans as necessary
  • Replace linen bags as necessary
  • Supply guests with information about the restaurant and the company
  • Ensure all side work is checked by a manager or shift leader
  • Maintain professional behavior, never complain about guests or discuss tips or tip share
