Job Duties
- Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner
- set up station in the kitchen
- extend a courteous, friendly and professional greeting to guests upon arrival and thank them upon departure
- deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately
- act as the point of contact between front of house and back of house staff
- communicate food orders to chefs with attention to priorities such as food allergies
- assist wait staff in the service of food in accordance with established standards
- assist in table set up and cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of the restaurant
- assist wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
- serve welcome drinks and hors d'oeuvres upon guests' arrival
- ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards such as proper temperature
- check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water as needed
- remove dirty dishes and utensils
- answer guests' questions about ingredients and menu items
- inform restaurant staff about customers' feedback or requests
- maintain the orderly upkeep of coolers and storage areas
- report guest comments and complaints to the Food and Beverage Manager
- maintain proper care and cleanliness of tableware and serving equipment
- follow all company policies and procedures
- immediately report suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions
- maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas
- follow all safety standards including proper equipment handling
- attend all mandatory meetings as directed
- perform other tasks including cross-training as directed
