Job Description
Red Lobster is a well-established American restaurant chain known for its dedication to seafood and coastal cuisine. Originating from a family-owned restaurant with a vision to connect people with the wonders of seafood and coastal dining, Red Lobster has grown to over 500 locations, each carrying forward the founding passion. The restaurant comes alive as a place where diners gather not only for delicious meals but also to create memorable moments with loved ones. Red Lobster prides itself on being more than just a dining establishment – it’s a community hub where customers and employees alike form lasting connections. This company has a rich heritage spanning over fifty years, creating a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere that emphasizes quality service and outstanding food.
The role available at Red Lobster is that of a Busser/Runner, a vital position in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. This is an hourly, presumably part-time or full-time position that offers competitive salaries and weekly pay. Employees have flexible schedules to accommodate their needs. The role requires individuals who are enthusiastic about customer service and teamwork. As a Busser/Runner, you will be responsible for maintaining dining areas, supporting servers, and helping guests have a pleasant dining experience. Specific responsibilities include greeting customers with a smile, preparing the workstation for shifts, ensuring tables are properly set with utensils and condiments, refilling drinks, clearing plates and glassware, and assisting servers as needed. You will also deliver hot food orders to customers promptly and maintain the cleanliness and safety standards of the restaurant.
Physical requirements must be met in this role, including the ability to safely bend, reach, crouch, and lift up to 30 pounds. Busser/Runners must be able to stand for long shifts of 8 to 12 hours, work effectively as part of a team, and juggle multiple tasks with attention to detail. Red Lobster is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
This position offers numerous benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, life and short-term disability insurance, voluntary benefits, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contribution after one year of service. Additional perks include anniversary pay, discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster invests in training and career advancement opportunities, ensuring employees can grow within the company. The company fosters an inclusive workplace culture and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. It welcomes applications from a diverse range of candidates without discrimination based on age, race, color, religion, sex, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status.
Joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a dedicated and passionate team that values hard work, respect, and delivering excellent guest experiences. Great plans lie ahead for the company, making it an exciting time to be part of the Red Lobster family. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality, eager to provide excellent service in a friendly and dynamic environment.
